Atithi

अतिथि, a-tithi · “without a date”. The guest who arrives on no fixed day: unannounced, unknown, a stranger. The name is the ethos.

01

The mark

An open upturned palm cradling a flame: hospitality offered. Drawn as real vector in one stroke weight, so it holds at 16px and can be embossed, foiled or engraved without redrawing.

Colour

Bright and saturated, with the colour energy of Coco and Encanto. Teal carries structure, coral carries action. One coral button per screen, never two. The table colours belong in the artwork and are never applied to interface.

Will you be our atithi?

Atithi

Soft, high-optical-size, with a wonky streak. Carries the hand-made warmth of the artwork; a cold fashion serif would fight it.

Nunito · interface

Ten people who have never met. One long table, thirty-five minutes from St Pancras. Come alone.

Imagery

Contemporary London. Georgian sash windows, rooftops, chimney pots, daylight.

Dark, candlelit, moody restaurant interiors. Desaturated or brown grading. Empty rooms with nobody in them.

Blue-and-white check cloth, painted chairs, jam-jar flowers, fairy lights, a board game in shot.

Marigold garlands, rangoli, mandala, paisley, jute, scattered spices.

Guests of many cultures, mid-laugh, reaching across each other. Never posed, never symmetrical.

Devanagari as decoration. It appears once, as meaning, and nowhere else.
