How seats work

Sending an introduction is a request for a seat, not a purchase. Seats are offered by the host, and confirmed by email. Nothing is charged until a seat is confirmed and accepted.

Seats are non-refundable once confirmed. This is not meanness: the host shops and cooks for exact numbers, and a seat released late usually cannot be filled. Tell us as early as you can and we will always try to pass it on.

You may give your seat to someone else. Reply to your confirmation with their name so the host knows who to expect.

If a supper is cancelled or materially changed, you will be told as soon as we know and refunded in full.

Suppers are cooked in a home kitchen where nuts, dairy, gluten, sesame and mustard are all present. Cross-contamination cannot be excluded. Tell us in advance about anything affecting your safety, in detail, and we will tell you honestly if we cannot host you safely.

Bring your own if you would like a drink; there will be something either way. Suppers are for over-18s. The table is shared with strangers, and anyone making it unwelcoming will be asked to leave without a refund.

The address is a private home, shared only after a seat is confirmed. Please do not publish it. Photographs are sometimes taken for the club’s own use — tell any host on the night if you would rather not appear, and that is the end of it.
